Things Above
There is a department store called, “Things Above” and everything in it is free. All you have to do is show up and start taking all of the wonderful things the store has to offer. Your cashier is Jesus. He waits for you and greets you with a smile when you walk in. The first thing you have to do though, before taking home the gifts He has to offer is to do an exchange. That is step one. You exchange your old self for a new self. Once you put on your new self, it is time to exchange a few other things. Jesus is happy to take them back even though you didn’t “buy” those things at His store. He has a great exchange policy.

Courage
Courage is being scared, but doing it anyway (without recklessness). Big acts or small, courage is listening to your intuition and opening your heart to what God invites you to do. You know that you might get hurt, but your faith helps you overpower your natural propensity to run the other way.

I Don’t Have to Live Here Anymore
My random thought for today. Indeed, good things come from bad things. It is the way that the world was designed. The one I will speak about today is what I am calling, “The Great, I don’t have to freakin’ live here anymore!” Covid forced us to work from home, so-much-so, that a lot of […]

Emptying the Dishwasher
One of the chores that I absolutely cannot stand doing is emptying the dishwasher. I dislike it so much so, that I put it off…and put it off…until I absolutely must do it. Or sometimes I get lucky and Michael does it! So that got me thinking today…do I do that with anything else in […]

I Miss the 80’s
I am never one to live in the past, but dang it, I miss the 80’s. It was the last era before technology took over. When front porches still existed and we played in the streets until the street lights came on. Kick ball on the 4 corners and street hockey between houses. The days […]

To Buy or Not to Buy? That is the Question.
And suddenly, everyone is an expert… I rarely chime in on news drama. Until today. There are so many conflicting stories about interest rates and housing bubbles. Should I buy now? Build now? Wait till rates or prices go down? What to do, what to do. Here’s my take: It is a personal decision and […]

A Message of Light
You are loved. No matter what you have done in the past, I forgive you if you ask Me to. I love you with an everlasting love. You don’t have to be ashamed of anything in your past. That is over and you are evolving every day. You are forgiven and loved. Just like I […]

Dancing Around the House
Who cares what you look like? Dance anyway. Just me and the dogs home on a Sunday. Pat Green, “Three Days” song is blaring loudly all throughout the house. I remember all of the words, even after all of this time. Puttering around about to have lunch with my mother-in-law. I am walking and then […]
